We'll always have MySpace.

Okay, call me a "Tom" two-timer. I love MySpace, and it was a beautiful blogging relationship for a while. However, there have been some problems- disappearing blogs, error messages when I try to access my own profile, numerous strangers in various states of undress wanting me to check out their cam.

Plus, something about MySpace (to me) seems to demand short, light, peppy updates with various decorative smileys. Sometimes I just want to ramble (like now), write bad dark poetry, vent about my cell phone provider, and do movie reviews all in the same forum.

There is another abandoned blog of mine somewhere in cyberspace far, far away, but I honestly cannot recall the site. It was not user-friendly, as I had to sign in multiple times on the same visit, and the posted blogs would often be missing half of the content.

MySpace is still cool, and a great way to randomly look up people from your past. "Hey, I wonder if Shana Arnold from middle school has a MySpace site?"

Here I am, though, tentatively dipping my toe into new blogging waters. It seems like this might offer a few more sophisticated options and features. I won't forget you, Tom and the gang. I'll still pop in and visit regularly, like the annoying neighbor on every sitcom. Maybe I'll even come back to stay if you guys can get your stuff together.
